Life in Palmetto Bay feels a little slower, a little greener, and a lot more like “home” than most of Miami. The tree canopy, the wide streets, the big backyards, the mango and avocado trees, the family barbecues, it’s a peaceful, suburban pocket surrounded by nature. But if you’ve lived here long enough, you know the nature comes with a few uninvited guests. Roaches wander in after a rainstorm. Ants show up in the kitchen even when you swear everything is sealed. Mosquitoes take over the yard the second the sun starts going down. Termites swarm because the homes here, many built decades ago, are exactly what they love. And rodents? With all this greenery, they move through trees and fences like it’s nothing.
